Rainer Hosch is a Los Angeles-based photographer whose practice spans portraiture, street photography, landscape, and documentary work. His father, distinguished photojournalist Heinz Hosch, was his first teacher. After his sudden death when Hosch was only 11 years old, he committed to carrying on his father's legacy through photography.

Hosch began his career documenting Vienna's underground music scene, capturing definitive portraits of Austrian pop icon Falco in 1996. After relocating to New York City in 1998, his editorial work appeared in Esquire, L'Uomo Vogue, The New York Times Magazine, and Wired. His portraiture captures cultural figures across art, entertainment, sports, business, and politics.

His work can be found in the Permanent Collection National Museum of Photography in Copenhagen, Denmark, and institutions including the Francisco Carolinum in Linz. He has shown in Miami, New York, Austria, Copenhagen, and the Dean Collection in Los Angeles.
